Getting it wrong helps you get it right

An interesting article on learning from Scientific American Mind shows that you can improve your recall by ten per cent if you just ask yourself questions and try to answer them before you read something.  Even if you get the answer wrong, you will still retain more than if you just read the article. It’s really hard work to read this way, but if recall and understanding are your objectives you’ll have better results.

It’s nice to know that making mistakes can be a good thing!
