Money and Meanness

For those of you interested in the latest management research, Harvard Business Review Blogs contain some really interesting stuff.  This post from the HBR blogs discusses the relationship between pay, power and meanness.  Turns out the higher pay executives receive, the meaner the company policies.

This certainly adds some heft to the debate about the pay levels that C-level executives receive relative to average workers. The more disparity in pay, the more meanness in the organization.
